NWPlay Privacy Policy
Your personal data belongs to you. This policy explains exactly what NWPlay collects, why we collect it, how it's protected, and what rights you have as a Filipino player under Philippine law.
Six Data Rights Every NWPlay Player Has
The Philippine Data Privacy Act gives you clear, enforceable rights over your personal information. Here's what they mean in practical terms on NWPlay.
Right to Access
You can request a copy of all personal data NWPlay holds about you at any time. We will provide this within 15 business days of a verified request submitted to our Data Protection Officer.
Right to Rectification
If any personal data we hold is inaccurate or incomplete, you have the right to request a correction. Most basic details — like your registered mobile number — can be updated directly from your NWPlay account settings.
Right to Erasure
You may request deletion of your personal data when it is no longer necessary for the purpose it was collected, subject to legal and regulatory retention requirements that NWPlay must comply with under Philippine law.
Right to Object
You can object to the processing of your personal data for marketing or profiling purposes. Objecting to marketing communications does not affect your ability to use your NWPlay account or receive service-related communications.
Right to Data Portability
You can request your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format so you can transfer it to another service provider. Portability requests are fulfilled within 30 business days.
Right to Complain
If you believe NWPlay has mishandled your personal data, you may file a complaint with our Data Protection Officer or directly with the National Privacy Commission of the Philippines.

How NWPlay Collects Your Information
NWPlay collects personal data through several channels depending on your interaction with the platform:
- Registration form: When you create your NWPlay account, you provide your name, mobile number, date of birth and other required details directly through the sign-up process.
- Identity verification: When you submit documents to verify your identity — typically when requesting a withdrawal above a certain threshold or when your account is flagged for review — NWPlay collects and stores those document images securely.
- Payment transactions: When you deposit or withdraw using GCash, Maya, BDO, BPI, UnionBank or any other supported payment method, transaction details are captured and linked to your account.
- Platform use: As you browse the NWPlay site, play games, place bets and interact with the platform, activity data is automatically recorded through server logs and analytics tools.
- Customer support interactions: When you contact NWPlay through live chat, email or any other support channel, the content of those communications is recorded and stored.
- Cookies and tracking technologies: NWPlay uses cookies, pixel tags and similar technologies to collect technical data about your device and browsing session. See Section 9 for full cookie details.
Why NWPlay Uses Your Personal Data
NWPlay processes personal data for specific, documented purposes. We do not use your data for any purpose not listed here without your prior consent:
- Account operation: Creating and managing your NWPlay account, authenticating your identity when you log in, and maintaining your account history and preferences.
- Transaction processing: Processing your PHP deposits via GCash, Maya, bank transfer and other methods; crediting winnings to your account; and processing withdrawal requests to your nominated payment method.
- Identity verification and KYC: Verifying that you meet NWPlay's eligibility requirements, confirming your identity as required by Philippine gaming regulations, and performing Know Your Customer (KYC) checks in line with anti-money laundering obligations under the Anti-Money Laundering Act (AMLA).
- Responsible gaming: Monitoring account activity to identify patterns that may indicate problem gambling behaviour; enforcing self-exclusion and limit settings you have activated; and proactively contacting players whose activity suggests potential harm.
- Security and fraud prevention: Detecting and investigating suspicious transactions, unauthorised account access, multi-accounting, bonus abuse and any other activity that may constitute fraud or a breach of NWPlay's Terms and Conditions.
- Platform improvement: Analysing aggregated, anonymised usage data to understand how players interact with NWPlay games and features, so that the platform can be improved over time.
- Legal and regulatory compliance: Meeting NWPlay's obligations under Philippine gaming licence conditions, AMLA reporting requirements, the Data Privacy Act, and any other applicable legislation.
- Customer support: Resolving account queries, disputes and technical issues raised through any NWPlay support channel.
- Marketing communications: Sending you information about NWPlay promotions, new games and VIP Club updates — only if you have opted in to receive marketing messages. You can opt out at any time through your account settings.
Legal Bases for Processing
Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act, NWPlay processes your personal data on the following legal bases:
- Contract performance: Processing your data to operate your account, fulfil deposits and withdrawals, and deliver the gaming services you signed up for falls under the lawful basis of contract performance.
- Legal obligation: NWPlay is required by Philippine gaming regulations and AMLA to collect identity verification data, retain transaction records and report suspicious transactions. This processing is mandatory regardless of consent.
- Legitimate interests: NWPlay processes technical and activity data to maintain platform security, prevent fraud, and improve the user experience. These interests are balanced against your privacy rights and do not override them.
- Consent: Marketing communications and optional personalisation features are processed only with your explicit consent. You may withdraw this consent at any time without it affecting your access to the NWPlay platform.
Who NWPlay Shares Your Data With
NWPlay does not sell your personal data to third parties. We share data only where necessary and in the following circumstances:
- Payment processors: When you deposit or withdraw, transaction data is shared with GCash, Maya, BDO, BPI, UnionBank or other payment providers as necessary to process the transaction.
- Identity verification providers: NWPlay uses third-party KYC verification services to confirm the authenticity of identity documents submitted by players. These providers process document images under strict data processing agreements.
- Game providers: For games hosted by third-party providers on the NWPlay platform, a pseudonymous player identifier is shared with the game server. Your full name and payment details are not transmitted to game providers.
- Regulatory and law enforcement authorities: NWPlay is required to report certain transactions to the Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC) and to cooperate with Philippine regulatory investigations. Data is disclosed only to the extent required by law.
- Technology and hosting providers: NWPlay uses cloud hosting, analytics and security services from established technology providers. All such providers operate under contractual data protection obligations.
- Professional advisers: Lawyers, auditors and insurers may access relevant data when engaged to provide professional services to NWPlay, under binding confidentiality obligations.
Any third party that receives personal data from NWPlay is required to handle it in accordance with applicable Philippine privacy law and NWPlay's data protection standards.
How Long We Keep Your Data
NWPlay retains personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected, subject to mandatory retention periods imposed by Philippine law:
- Active accounts: Personal data is retained for the lifetime of your NWPlay account plus a minimum of five years after account closure, as required by AMLA transaction record retention rules.
- Identity verification documents: Retained for at least five years from the date of the most recent transaction on the account, or as otherwise required by applicable gaming regulations.
- Transaction records: All deposit, withdrawal and betting records are retained for a minimum of five years from the date of the transaction.
- Customer support records: Support chat and email records are retained for three years from the date of the interaction, unless they relate to an active dispute or investigation.
- Marketing consent records: Records of your marketing consent or withdrawal are retained for as long as necessary to demonstrate compliance.
- Technical logs: Server and access logs are retained for up to 12 months for security monitoring purposes.
When retention periods expire and no legal obligation requires further storage, NWPlay securely destroys or anonymises the data in accordance with its data lifecycle management procedures.
How NWPlay Protects Your Data
NWPlay takes data security seriously. The following technical and organisational measures are in place to protect your personal information:
TLS Encryption in Transit
All data transmitted between your device and the NWPlay platform is encrypted using Transport Layer Security (TLS). This prevents interception of your login credentials, payment details and personal information during transmission.
Encrypted Data Storage
Sensitive personal data — including identity document images and payment account details — is stored using industry-standard encryption at rest. Database access is restricted to authorised systems and personnel only.
Access Controls and Role-Based Permissions
NWPlay staff access to player data is restricted based on job function. No single employee has unrestricted access to all player records. Access logs are maintained and reviewed regularly for anomalous activity.
Intrusion Detection and Monitoring
NWPlay's infrastructure is monitored 24/7 for security threats, unusual access patterns and potential data breaches. Automated alerts and manual review processes are both in place.
Regular Security Assessments
NWPlay conducts periodic security reviews and vulnerability assessments of its platform. Critical findings are prioritised for remediation before they can be exploited.
Data Breach Response
In the event of a personal data breach that affects your rights, NWPlay will notify affected players and the National Privacy Commission within the timeframes required by the Data Privacy Act. We maintain a documented incident response plan for this purpose.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
NWPlay uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on its platform. A cookie is a small text file stored on your device that allows the platform to recognise your browser session and remember certain preferences.
NWPlay uses cookies for the following purposes:
- Essential cookies: Required for the platform to function — including maintaining your login session, remembering your account preferences, and enabling the game lobby to operate correctly. These cannot be disabled without breaking platform functionality.
- Analytics cookies: Used to understand how players navigate the platform, which games are most popular, and where technical issues arise. Analytics data is aggregated and anonymised. NWPlay uses this data to improve the platform experience.
- Security cookies: Used to detect suspicious login patterns, prevent session hijacking and support fraud detection systems.
- Preference cookies: Used to remember your display and language preferences across sessions so you don't have to set them again each time you visit.
You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies will affect your ability to log in and use NWPlay. Disabling analytics cookies will not affect platform functionality but will mean NWPlay receives less information to improve its services.
Third-Party Services and Links
The NWPlay platform integrates third-party services including game providers, payment processors and analytics tools. While NWPlay selects these providers carefully and requires them to meet data protection standards, NWPlay is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services beyond the controls established in its data processing agreements with those providers.
NWPlay does not include links to third-party websites on its platform. All content, games and payment integrations operate within the NWPlay environment. If you access any external service independently, the privacy policy of that external service governs the handling of your data there, not this policy.
Minors and Platform Eligibility
NWPlay is strictly for players who are 21 years of age or older in the Philippines. The platform does not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under 21 years of age.
If NWPlay discovers that an account has been created by or on behalf of a person under 21, the account will be immediately suspended, all funds reviewed in line with relevant regulations, and the minor's personal data processed only to the extent required to complete the account closure and any associated regulatory reporting. The data will then be deleted as soon as legally permissible.
If you have reason to believe that a minor has created an NWPlay account, please contact support@nwplay.best immediately so the matter can be investigated and the account closed promptly.
Exercising Your Data Rights
To exercise any of your rights under the Philippine Data Privacy Act — including access, rectification, erasure, objection, portability or complaint — submit a written request to NWPlay's Data Protection Officer using the contact details in Section 14.
Requests must include sufficient information to verify your identity before we can process them. This typically means providing your registered NWPlay mobile number and a brief description of the request. We may ask for additional verification if the request involves sensitive data or a significant volume of records.
NWPlay will respond to data rights requests within:
- 15 business days for access and rectification requests.
- 30 business days for erasure, portability and objection requests.
- 5 business days for withdrawal of marketing consent (effective immediately upon receipt, with confirmation within 5 days).
If your request cannot be fulfilled within the standard timeframe — for example, because it involves a large volume of records or requires legal review — NWPlay will notify you within the standard window and provide an updated completion estimate.
If you are dissatisfied with NWPlay's response to a data rights request, you may escalate your complaint to the National Privacy Commission of the Philippines.
Updates to This Privacy Policy
NWPlay may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our data practices, Philippine legal requirements, or the services we offer. Material changes — those that meaningfully affect how we handle your personal data or the rights you have — will be communicated through a prominent notice on the NWPlay platform and, where practical, by direct notification to your registered mobile number.
The effective date of the current version is always displayed at the top of this page. The most current version of this policy is always available at nwplay.best/privacy-policy. Continued use of NWPlay after the effective date of a revised policy constitutes acceptance of the changes.
Contact NWPlay and Our Data Protection Officer
